Zentai Bodysuits are interesting skin-tight garments or full-body tights made from blends of spandex and nylon. These attires are sometimes called Superfansuit in the US, Jyhmiskin in Finland and Morphsuits in UK. These bodysuits can bring the life of the party costume conventions, with its various designs and themes. The Zentai suits first came into clothing consciousness in recent years as aerobic and stage outfits, but has since made its way as a new fashion gear.
The Zentai bodysuits can be divided in three types. The first one is the celebrity zentai suits – these are for example the Spiderman, Supergirl and Avatar costumes, which have been popular costumes in parades and parties. The second type are the humorous zentai suits, types of full-body tights that evokes laughter and funny connotations because of the outrageous style and quixotic fashion that goes with it. These Zentai suits can be anything like the American flag, clown suits, single color Zentai suit (green, blue and grey) or camouflage suits that goes along with any environment backdrop. The third type is the kigurami fashion style where the zentai body suits are used as a base suit – before clothes, wigs, hair pieces and accessories are done in the body. These Zentai body suits are often seen in designer’s fashion show, music videos and live music performances.
